Last week I did something that reminded me exactly why I do this work. I attended the Vet100 Awards Dinner as part of Veteran EDGE — one of the most powerful gatherings of veteran entrepreneurs in the country. And I want to tell you about it. Not just because it was a great night, but because what I witnessed there is exactly what I help capture for the people I serve.

The Room Was Full of Stories

Every person in that ballroom had a story. A uniform they wore. A sacrifice they made. A business they built from the ground up after coming home. Some of those stories were told from stages. Some were exchanged in hallways over handshakes. Some were held quietly in the eyes of someone who finally felt like they belonged in a room like that.

I know that feeling. And I know what it costs when those moments go undocumented.
